Celinda Lake, President of Lake Research Partners of Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker at the 7th Annual Women 4 Women Day to be held January 31, 2011, at the State Capitol in Pierre.

Celinda Lake is one of the nation’s foremost experts on electing women candidates and on framing issues to women voters. Lake is one of the progressive’s leading pollsters and political strategists, and has worked with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, EMILY's List, The White House Project, Planned Parenthood, The Unmarried Women's Project, and the Women's Campaign Fund. Lake has frequently appeared as a guest commentator on MSNBC, FOX News, CNN, and NPR.

Lake co-authored the book, What Women Really Want, with Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway in 2005, examining how American women changing the political landscape in America. “They are not red or blue. Women are purple. Eighty percent of women agree on 80% of things,” concludes Lake.

A native of Livingston, Montana, Lake will give luncheon remarks, lead an afternoon workshop, and attend the Women 4 Women Day legislative reception. Lake will discuss demographic trends with women voters, the impact of the 2010 midterm elections, and how women activists and candidates can effectively communicate their concerns to policy makers and the public.
